Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks: The Lone Goal
The main event that became a real gift to all hockey fans marked the beginning of the summer and the ending of Game 1 of the Finals of the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs. All students who are interested in ice-hockey had to put aside their unfinished essay topic papers in order to dedicate that first hot summer night to the amazing world of hockey.
The famous and respected professional ice-hockey teams met that night at Rogers Arena. Vancouver Canucks were the Home Team so they received Boston Bruins on Wednesday June 1, 2011 .
However, Vancouver Canucks had an advantage in 1.5 points according to the latest results in the Bruins vs. Canucks series that’s way the Canucks were the absolute favorites in this matchup. However, the result of the game was unclear and kept the spectators in suspense for 59 minutes and 41 seconds of the match when Raffi Torres – a Vancouver Canucks’ forward – lived up to his fans’ expectations, confirmed once again that there is a reason for him having a title of a forward and scored a beautiful goal which appeared to be the lone one in that meeting. He did his best shot with only 18.5 seconds left in the third period and the whole Rogers Arena burst with cheers and every student watching the game on the TV forget about his editing writing services. That time Tim Thomas’s goalie mask with the motto "In God We Trust" did not help him to return the puck.
